2. Prerelease Overview of Additional Story Content in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC!
Just when it seems Team MZ’s efforts have restored peace to Lumiose City... now something odd is afoot—mysterious distortions are now forming all around town.
Amid this, you meet a mysterious young girl named Ansha, who is accompanied by the Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa.
Hoopa is able to activate some curious power to transform the distortions appearing around town into larger portals that allow passage into hyperspace. And you’ll need to dive right in!
On the other side, you’ll find yourself in an otherworldly not-quite-Lumiose City.
Powerful Pokémon not found in the regular Lumiose can be encountered living here.
What in the world is Hyperspace Lumiose? And who or what lies in wait within it?

The Mythical Pokémon Hoopa Holds the Key to the Story
Hoopa is a Mythical Pokémon that can warp space using the loops on its horns and around its body.
These loops are stretchable and can form holes leading to far-off places. Whatever passes through one of Hoopa’s portals may be transported instantaneously.
Hoopa is fond of foods that have holes in them—especially donuts.
3. Receive an Alpha Charizard!
To celebrate the release of the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC, which features additional story and new content, players can receive an unusually large, powerful Charizard starting on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at 10 PM (UTC+8). Use this opportunity to welcome a powerful Charizard into your team of adventuring companions in Lumiose City.
How to Receive This Gift
You can receive this alpha Charizard by selecting Get with Code/Password from the Mystery Gift menu and inputting the password in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

This alpha Charizard can be received in either the physical version or the digital version.

4. Take On Ranked Battles to Get Mega Stones for Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert!
At the Z-A Battle Club, you can match up against random players from around the globe in Ranked Battles.
Mega Stones for Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert will each appear as promotion rewards that you can earn by rising in rank.
Pit your Pokémon battling skills against Trainers from around the world to obtain rewards.
You can encounter Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert in the additional story and content included in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC.

Sceptilite, Swampertite, and Blazikenite stones cannot normally be obtained during regular gameplay.
Mega Stones obtainable as promotion rewards are planned to be redistributed in future seasons.
It is possible to have no more than one of each kind of Mega Stone. If you already have one of these Mega Stones, you will be unable to receive another as a Ranked Battles reward.

What Is the Z-A Battle Club?
The Z-A Battle Club in Pokémon Legends: Z-A features Link Battles where players can enjoy battling in real time. Up to four players battle to defeat as many of each other’s Pokémon as they can within the time limit of three minutes, and they’re ranked from first to fourth based on how they do. Keep a close eye on the tide of battle while using a variety of moves and Mega Evolutions at your disposal to keep on the offensive, defeat the most Pokémon, and seize victory.
Two Ways to Play
There are two ways to play in the Z-A Battle Club: Private Battles where players can enjoy playing against friends and Ranked Battles that allow players to match up against random players from around the world.
You can also receive a variety of rewards through Ranked Battles. Three types of rewards are offered: battle rewards that you get after each match, promotion rewards that you get when you rise up a rank, and season rewards that you get when the season ends and depend on your rank.
