A special video showcasing the latest information about this title is available on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. We hope you’ll check it out!
Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension | Visit a Strange New Dimension!
Key Visual Released!
The key visual of Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension has been revealed.
It shows the Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa, using its power to open a portal to another dimension.
It illustrates how the protagonists of this story and their friends will dive into the mysterious realmknown as Hyperspace Lumiose, following their new acquaintances Ansha and Hoopa.
What could be waiting for them in this bizarre landscape, which appears to be a distorted reflection of the regular Lumiose City?
2. A Strange Dimension Reached via Mysterious Distortions
Just when Team MZ’s efforts seem to have restored peace to Lumiose City,
something strange begins to happen—mysterious distortions are forming all around town.
Amid this, you’ll meet a mysterious young girl named Ansha, who is accompanied by the Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa.
Hoopa has the curious power to transform the distortions into larger portals that allow passage into hyperspace. And you’ll need to dive right in!
On the other side, you’ll find yourself in an otherworldly, not-quite-Lumiose city.
Powerful Pokémon not found in the regular Lumiose can be encountered living here.
What in the world is Hyperspace Lumiose? And who or what lies in wait within it?
It’s time for a new adventure for Team MZ!
3. Hyper-Strong Pokémon Powered Up with Hyperspace Levels
At a glance, Hyperspace Lumiose may resemble the real Lumiose, but it’s a very different place. Not only does it hold Pokémon you won’t find in Lumiose City—its Pokémon can also have hyperspace levels that bring their total levels over the normal limit of Lv. 100, making them truly “hyper strong.”
You also might find rare Pokémon or never-before-seen Mega-Evolved Pokémon.
4. Time to Gather Up Berries and Make Some Donuts!
The Mythical Pokémon Hoopa loves donuts. Giving it one will awaken Hoopa’s powers, letting it widen the strange distortions around Lumiose and make them into portals to hyperspace.
Ansha, the mysterious young girl accompanied by Hoopa, is a talented donut chef. If you give her Berries, she can make various kinds of donuts.
When you feed a donut to Hoopa, the donut can yield a number of different effects while in hyperspace — such as powering up the Pokémon you have with you — depending on what Berries the donut was made with. In hyperspace, you can find particularly useful Hyperspace Berries, which yield better effects than regular Berries when used in donuts. Hyperspace Berries will be crucial for taking on tough Pokémon with high hyperspace levels.
You’ll need Ansha’s and Hoopa’s help to embark on your surveys of Hyperspace.
5. Take On Hyperspace Lumiose with New Allies
To protect Lumiose City from this brewing new trouble, you and the rest of Team MZ will need to take on Hyperspace Lumiose with the help of new allies.
Ansha
This mysterious young girl turned up with the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa in tow. She’s a talented donut chef. Eating one of Ansha’s donuts causes Hoopa’s power to awaken, allowing it to open a path into hyperspace.
Korrina
Korrina is the successor to a line of Mega Evolution gurus. She aims to be a skilled user of every Mega Evolution out there.
She’ll join Team MZ in tackling the strange events befalling Lumiose.
6. Introducing Newly Discovered Mega-Evolved Pokémon!
Mega Chimecho, the Mega Evolution of the Wind Chime Pokémon Chimecho, Appears!
In this form, Chimecho is flanked by six dangling copies. Mega Chimecho always waves and flutters, even when no wind is blowing.
When Chimecho lets out a cry, the copies join in and resonate with it. As these cries overlap and reverberate, they form an intense sound-wave attack.
Get to Know Mega Chimecho, the Mega Evolution of the Wind Chime Pokémon Chimecho!
Mega Chimecho
Category: Wind Chime Pokémon
Type: Psychic/Steel
Height: 3'11" (1.2 m)
Weight: 17.6 lbs. (8 kg)
Sound Waves That Soothe the Heart Like a Protective Talisman...
Mega Chimecho’s cries have a bright, refreshing tone, and they soothe the hearts of Trainers who hear them. These sounds are said to have cleansing properties and to ward off malice like a protective talisman.
And Sound Waves That Attack Enemies’ Spirits
Mega Chimecho can also hit enemies with barrages of intense sound waves, breaking their spirits.
Foes faced with these attacks fall into a sense of unreality and may forget what they were doing—or even who they are. If such a foe still manages to win, it’s said that the defeated Mega Chimecho will emit a reverberating sound like breaking glass, so even in victory, the enemy is left in an ongoing state of shock.
Mega Baxcalibur, the Mega Evolution of the Ice Dragon Pokémon Baxcalibur, Appears!
Thanks to Mega Evolution, this Pokémon now generates more ice energy, and the massive blade on its back has grown larger still.
This size increase has, in turn, made the blade’s attacks even mightier. Baxcalibur can use the blade’s sheer weight to cleave practically anything in half or smash it to bits.

Mega Baxcalibur
Category: Ice Dragon Pokémon
Type: Dragon/Ice
Height: 6'11" (2.1 m)
Weight: 694.5 lbs. (315 kg)
It Gains an Abdominal Hilt
Not only has the blade on Baxcalibur’s back grown bigger, but an icy column like the hilt of a sword has appeared from its solar plexus as well. Baxcalibur can concentrate ice energy at this abdominal hilt and fire off moves from it.
The hilt also provides a counterweight that helps Mega Baxcalibur keep its balance despite its much larger back blade.
Ice Energy Spreads Throughout Its Entire Body
Mega Evolution has caused ice energy to spread through Baxcalibur’s entire body, down to its organs and nerves. This has sped up its reaction time and made its muscles capable of more explosive movement, thereby making its moves more powerful.
Its reddened pupils make it clear that this ice energy has even reached its optic nerves.

The Mega Stone required to Mega Evolve Baxcalibur can be obtained from the Z-A Battle Club as a reward for getting promoted in online Ranked Battles.

2. Behold the Mega Evolutions of the First Partner Pokémon!
Mega Meganium, the Mega Evolution of the Herb Pokémon Meganium, Appears!
The effects of Mega Evolution have triggered rapid growth in Meganium, not only making its body bigger but also increasing the number of large flowers around its neck to four. Its feelers, now more developed, can detect changes in the weather, so Mega Meganium can seek places where it can photosynthesize efficiently.
It can fire a Solar Beam using massive amounts of solar energy stored up in its four flowers. This powerful Solar Beam is also called Mega Sol Cannon.
Get to Know Mega Meganium, the Mega Evolution of the Herb Pokémon Meganium!
Mega Meganium
Category: Herb Pokémon
Type: Grass/Fairy
Height: 7'10" (2.4 m)
Weight: 443.1 lbs. (201 kg)
It Gains the Fairy Type, and the Aromatic Substances in Its Flowers Have Been Powered Up!
Mega Meganium is Grass and Fairy type.
Its four flowers can store up large amounts of solar power, creating a substance that exudes a special fragrance.
In the right dosage, this substance can calm the feelings of those who smell it, but breathing in too much can cause agitation instead.
A Larger Body, a Bolder Fighting Style
Thanks to the large amounts of solar energy it stores in its four flowers, Mega Meganium can now fire off Solar Beams instantly.
It’s also grown stronger at physical combat and can step on and crush foes that its Solar Beams don’t work against. Its fighting style has apparently grown bolder thanks to Mega Evolution—to the point that Mega Meganium sometimes seems careless.
Mega Emboar, the Mega Evolution of the Mega Fire Pig Pokémon Emboar, Appears!
Mega Evolution has made Emboar more muscular, and it’s grown even bigger. Mega Emboar’s flaming beard now burns even hotter and has gotten bigger too, enveloping the Pokémon’s upper half like a piece of protective gear.
Its fire-manipulating capabilities have become more potent. From its palms, it unleashes the fiery energy that rages within its body, creating a mass of flame that resembles a serpentine spear, which it uses to battle.

Mega Emboar
Category: Mega Fire Pig Pokémon
Type: Fire/Fighting
Height: 5'11" (1.8 m)
Weight: 397.5 lbs. (180.3 kg)
It Rushes In Recklessly to Save Friends in Trouble
It has a bold and action-prone temperament, and it’s reckless and quick to anger. Its emotions are constantly running high as a result of Mega Evolution, and when it gets into a battle situation, it will relentlessly keep challenging any enemy it sees. Mega Emboar tends to act on its own and take things too far, so it takes a skilled Trainer to handle it.
It also retains a strong sense of duty toward its friends, just like before it Mega Evolved. If a friend is in trouble, Mega Emboar will rush in and risk its life fighting to help.
Both Its Physical Strength and Fire Energy Are Much Stronger
It wields tremendous power—enough to partly destroy a reinforced-concrete building with even a light punch from its beefed-up muscles.
And Mega Evolution hasn’t just made it more muscular—its fire energy is also cranked up. The higher Mega Emboar’s spirits are, the more intensely its fiery beard burns. When it’s really worked up, its beard burns so hot that no one can get near it. The tip of the serpentine spear it creates with fire energy emitted from its palms can burn as hot as 18,000 degrees Fahrenheit when the Pokémon is truly fired up.
Mega Feraligatr, the Mega Evolution of the Big Jaw Pokémon Feraligatr, Appears!
Mega Evolution has made its dorsal fin gigantic. Using that fin together with the power of its arms, it now boasts a “bite” at least 10 times more powerful than Feraligatr could manage before Mega Evolving.
Even things that were too big for Feraligatr to tackle can now be crunched to bits by using the force of its arms and dorsal fin, enlarged thanks to Mega Evolution.
Get to Know Mega Feraligatr, the Mega Evolution of the Big Jaw Pokémon Feraligatr!
Mega Feraligatr
Category: Double Jaw Pokémon
Type: Water/Dragon
Height: 7'7" (2.3 m)
Weight: 239.9 lbs. (108.8 kg)
It’s Gained the Dragon Type and Gets a Power Boost from Its Huge Dorsal Fin!
Mega Feraligatr is Water and Dragon type.
Its newly enlarged dorsal fin gives it a “bite” with greatly increased power—and the fin is thought to play other useful roles, too.
For one thing, it offers a defensive boost. Mega Feraligatr can reduce the damage from incoming physical attacks by covering its head with that large, hard fin.
The fin also helps it dissipate heat better. Mega Evolution causes a rapid increase in body temperature. Mega Feraligatr can emit heat from its dorsal fin, helping cool itself down.
Why Does Mega Feraligatr’s Dorsal Fin Look Like Totodile?
For reasons unknown, Mega Feraligatr’s dorsal fin resembles Totodile’s head—leading some to call it a “Totodile mask.”
One theory suggests that Totodile’s head is shaped optimally for biting, and Mega Evolution gave Feraligatr this “Totodile mask” in order to restore its biting power. But it’s unclear whether this is true.
3. Introducing a Powerful Opponent You’ll Face in Your Promotion Matches–and Her Partner Pokémon!
Every night at sundown, Pokémon battles kick into gear in the Z-A Royale. As you rise through the ranks, you’ll face tough Trainers in promotion matches. Here’s one such opponent.
Canari, the popular game streamer
Canari is a video game livestream host who’s popular not just in Lumiose but throughout Kalos. She was born and raised in Lumiose City. For her fans—whom she calls “Canatics”—she holds events like the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest, which features trivia about her and her channel. Her fan club is called DYN4MO. One of your fellow Team MZ members, Naveen, seems to be a big fan of Canari’s. Her main partner is Eelektross.
Mega Eelektross, the Mega Evolution of the EleFish Pokémon Eelektross, Appears!
Mega Evolution has greatly powered up the yellow electricity-generating organs on its torso and arms. Not only has their electrical output increased, but they can also now produce electrified mucus. Mega Eelektross can expel large amounts of this mucus from the ends of its arms and form it into shapes resembling Eelektrik.
Its charged-up electrical powers also allow it to float in the air continuously.
Mega Eelektross
Category: EleFish Pokémon
Type: Electric
Height: 9'10" (3 m)
Weight: 396.8 lbs. (180 kg)
Its False Eelektrik Are Made of Electrified Mucus
Its powered-up electricity-generating organs can create electrified mucus, which flows from the ends of Mega Eelektross’s arms and from its torso before taking on a jelly- or gummy-like consistency.
The mucus forms into Eelektrik-like shapes at the end of each arm, collectively called “false Eelektrik” by scholars—the left one being “Eeleftrik” and the right one “Eerightrik.”
The false Eelektrik give Mega Eelektross improved stability when swimming. It can swim almost twice as fast as it could before Mega Evolving.
Electric Power Strong Enough to Immobilize Huge Pokémon
Most electricity that Mega Eelektross generates goes to the false Eelektrik flanking it. That electricity is powerful enough to stun and paralyze Pokémon as massive as Wailord.
When Mega Evolution wears off, the mucus that formed the false Eelektrik melts away and disappears. However, it can be preserved in its jelly-like form at temperatures of 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Some people put this preserved mucus to new use in beauty regimens or strength training, though it’s not clear how much benefit it yields.
4. Collect Colorful Screws Around Town and Exchange Them for Canari Plush!
You may find Colorful Screws around Lumiose as you go about your adventure.
These can be collected and brought to Racine Construction, where an employee will trade you Canari Plush for them. Having Canari Plush can give you a range of benefits, such as better odds of success when catching Pokémon, so make sure to climb the scaffolding around the city and gather lots of Colorful Screws.
