2. Frenetic Four-Player Link Battles in the Z-A Battle Club!

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Link Battles take place in a feature called the Z-A Battle Club. Up to four players battle to defeat as many of each other’s Pokémon as they can within the time limit, and they’re ranked from first to fourth based on how they do. Make full use of a variety of moves and Mega Evolutions, and go on the offensive!

Enjoy real-time battling action with Pokémon!

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Trainers and Pokémon will move around together while unleashing moves in real time during battles. This new style of battle gameplay applies to Link Battles in the Z-A Battle Club as well.

In this title’s new battle system, some moves may work differently than in prior games in the Pokémon series. Moves have a wide range of effects—launching attacks in a fixed radius to deal damage to multiple Pokémon at once, targeting distant Pokémon by attacking in a straight line, and more. Launch attacks from places your opponents don’t expect or sweep through groups of opponents as you lead your partner Pokémon to victory by making full use of a variety of moves.

Defeat as many opposing Pokémon as you can within three minutes!

In the Z-A Battle Club, Trainers will start out at different spots in the stage and send out Pokémon from their team to begin the match. When any of your Pokémon faint, you will return to your starting point and reenter the battle with all your Pokémon fully recovered.

The time limit for one match is three minutes. Defeating an opponent’s Pokémon earns you a point, and those points determine your ranking.

Mega Power orbs, which can be collected to Mega Evolve your Pokémon, may also appear around the stage, as well as items to boost your Pokémon’s stats temporarily.

Keep a close eye on the tide of battle while staying on the offensive to defeat the most Pokémon.

3. Enjoy Real-Time Battling Online or Through Local Communication!

Test your skills against Trainers around the world and aim for promotions and rewards!

In Ranked Battles, you can battle online against Trainers from around the world. You’ll earn points based on your place in these four-player battles. You may also earn additional points depending on your performance during battle. When you earn enough points, your rank will rise. You will start off at Rank Z, and you can be promoted all the way to the ultimate Rank A.

You can earn rewards when a battle ends or when your rank rises, and you could earn even more rewards based on your final rank when the season ends after a set period of time. Rewards will vary between seasons, so try to actively participate to strive for higher ranks and earn rewards.

You can battle with friends too!

In Private Battles, you can input a Link Code to connect with nearby players using local communication or distant players using the internet. You can select battle rules from several options and battle against up to three other players. Enjoy battling against friends with the rules you like!
